Bangladeshi miscreants attack BSF jawans, snatched their weapons in Murshidabad

On Sunday morning, Bangladeshi miscreants launched a sudden attack on BSF jawans who were deployed to protect Indian farmers on the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal's Murshidabad district. The incident occurred at Border Out Post Nirlalchar, 35th under the South Frontier of Murshidabad district in West Bengal. The attackers injured two jawans severely, who were immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Indian farmers had complained about Bangladeshi farmers entering their fields to graze their cattle and damaging their crops intentionally. To address this problem, the soldiers set up a post near the border to protect the Indian farmers while they were doing their farming work. However, on Sunday, over a hundred miscreants from Bangladesh attacked the jawans with sticks, rods, and sharp weapons, and fled back to Bangladesh after snatching their weapons.

The incident prompted Indian BSF officials to inform their BGB counterparts immediately and request a flag meeting to recover the stolen weapons and prevent future incidents. Such attacks on Indian farmers and BSF jawans have happened before, and while they have been reported to BGB, no concrete action has been taken.

According to local residents, when smugglers and criminals fail to engage in illegal activities across the border, they resort to deadly attacks on the jawans. Despite the lack of facilities, the BSF jawans in the remote area of Nirmalchar are guarding the border day and night and have thwarted many such attacks in the past.
