Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
The West Bengal government has implemented a significant reshuffle in its administrative ranks, with multiple senior officers being appointed to key positions across various departments. Vivek Kumar (IAS: 2016) has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Health and Family Welfare Department. This position involves overseeing the health policies and administration in the state, with a focus on managing healthcare systems, public health initiatives, and family welfare programs.
Abhishek Kumar Tiwary (IAS: 2012) has been designated as the Managing Director of the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL). In this capacity, Tiwary will be responsible for driving tourism projects, promoting tourism-related infrastructure, and working on policy measures to enhance the state's tourism industry. Shashank Sethi (IAS: 2010) has been appointed Managing Director of the West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBHIDCO), a body responsible for urban planning, infrastructure development, and housing schemes in West Bengal’s growing urban areas.
Yeluchuri Ratnakara Rao (IAS: 2006) has been appointed as the Secretary of the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Sources Department. He will be tasked with overseeing renewable energy projects, implementing policies to promote sustainable energy, and advancing the state’s efforts toward clean energy initiatives. Jagdish Prasad Meena (IAS: 2004) has been assigned as Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, with additional charges as Member-Secretary of the Pollution Control Board and Divisional Commissioner of the Presidency Division. Meena will oversee personnel management, administrative reforms, environmental regulations, and governance in the Presidency Division.
Dr. Rajesh Kumar (IPS) has been appointed as Principal Secretary of the Correctional Administration Department, where he will manage the state's correctional facilities, probation services, and related law enforcement programs. Roshni Sen (IAS: 1993) has been given the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Environment Department, where she will lead the implementation of environmental policies and manage the state's conservation and sustainability efforts. These appointments reflect the state's focus on governance, infrastructure, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.
