A lifeless body of an unidentified 45-year-old man was discovered in front of AV School in Shyambazar, Kolkata, causing a stir in the area. The victim exhibited severe injuries, including a bruised face and body. The discovery was made near the school's main gate, with traces of blood in the area.
The man was found with injuries to the back of his head, indicating a potential fatal blow from a heavy object. His face was also smashed with bricks, suggesting a gruesome end.
Local police on duty immediately responded to the scene, recovering the body and transporting it to R G Kar Medical College Hospita where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The body has been sent for post-mortem. The police of Shyampur police station have started the investigation. Preliminary investigations reveal that the victim was a cook, as cooking utensils were found near the body. According to sources, he used to work as a cook in small hotels in the area. However, locals couldn't identify him, adding to the mystery surrounding the case.
