‘Received threats in jail, asked to retract statements’: Sukesh Chandrasekhar writes to Delhi LG

Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar has written a new letter to Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, in which he claims to have received threats from two police officers Deepak Sharma and Jay Singh in jail asking him to retract the declaration against them in the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW).

"Four days ago CCTV footage of my cell was released and leaked which is a security breach and the said leak was done by Assistant Superintendent Mr. Deepak Sharma and Deputy Superintendent Jay Singh. Both had earlier received a total of Rs 5.5 million as jail security money and the same has even been sent as a complaint to your honorable office,” Sukesh said in the letter to the LG.

Sukesh further alleged that the two police officers were psychologically harassing him. "Mr. Deepak Sharma and Jay Singh, as seen in the video, in the CCTV footage, came to my cell to threaten me and harass me mentally and asked me to retract the statements issued against them in the EOW as well," he said.

Sukesh further claimed that the manner of the search showed their behavior and personal vendetta against him. "You have exposed Satyender Jain, now it is our turn to release your video and show the world how we treat you," Sukesh quoted two prison officers as saying in the letter. "That's why Deepak Sharma himself challenged me earlier to post the torture video," the fraudster said.

Sukesh faces charges of extortion and money laundering and the ED has registered a fresh case of money laundering under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) linked to cheating the wife of former Religare promoter Malvinder Singh in which he was recently sent to nine days. in ED custody by a Delhi court.

Sukesh Chandrashekhar was arrested by the ED in a PMLA case where he allegedly cheated Aditi Singh, wife of Malvinder Singh's brother Shivinder Singh, of 200 crores. Actress Jacqueline Fernandez is also accused in the 200 crore money laundering case filed by the ED against Sukesh Chandrashekhar. The actor is currently out on bail in the case while Sukesh Chandrashekhar is in judicial custody in the case.
