Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
A Gurugram man whose video of stealing flower pots kept to beautify the area ahead of the G20 summit was arrested on Wednesday, police said.
The suspect was traced using his vehicle registration plate, which was seen in a video that has gone viral on various social media platforms, the police said added
Police said the suspect has been identified as 55-year-old Manmohan Yadav, a resident of Gandhi Nagar in Sector 11, Old Gurugram.
Virender Vij, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), said the suspect was traced using his vehicle registration plate, which was seen in a video that had gone viral on various social media platforms. Officials said Yadav told the police after his arrest that one of his friends works at the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, who had called him on the spot to pick the plants.
The police said they are corroborating the information provided by Yadav. “We recovered the stolen plants along with the pots. We also seized a Kia Carnival car. The vehicle was registered in the name of Yadav's wife,” he added.
Vij said the police will also recover the stolen plants soon. He added that the accused will be interrogated to know the reason why he stole the plants.
