SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases
The probe against the E-nuggets app in West Bengal has reached the advocate of Trinamool leader Abhishek Banerjee. On Wednesday morning, a team of seven ED officials arrived to raid the house of Advocate Sanjay Basu located at 11B Bardhaman Road.
Sources have said that a search operation is going on under the leadership of an additional rank official. Central force is present with ED officials for security. Sources have said that cryptocurrency has been purchased through the E-nuggets app and reportedly Sanjay Basu has a big role in it.
His account has also been used, which is under the scanner. At present, it has not been told what has been found from there. Sources have claimed that Basu is at home and ED officials are also interrogating him.
Apart from this, ED raids have also taken place at various places in Howrah and Kolkata. ED sources said that raids have been conducted at the house of a businessman located on Keyatala Road, Kolkata. Around 8:45 am, the house of businessman Ramendra Chatterjee was raided in the Jagachha area of Howrah. He used to run a chit-fund company named Ramendra Tower. Apart from this, he had invested in many other businesses including solar energy. Apart from this, he has also been involved in the Saradha case. Presently he is in jail.
Raids have been conducted at the residence of a businessman named Anirudh Banerjee, who is involved in various works of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, at Keyatala Road in the Rabindra Sadan area. A search operation has been conducted in connection with the mobile gaming application E-Nuggets through which crores of rupees have been cheated and cryptocurrency has been purchased.
