Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Monday said that he will never leave the company of current CM Nitish Kumar and stay wherever he is. His statement comes after Nitish Kumar recently revealed that the BJP was trying to woo Manjhi.
Manjhi is a key ally of the ruling Mahagathbandhan in Bihar. “Jahan Nitish rahenge, wahan ham rahenge (I will stay only where Nitish stays).Former Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi on Monday said that he will never leave the company of current CM Nitish Kumar and stay wherever he is.
"I may be poor, but poor people sacrifice everything to return the favor. Nitish made me chief minister, he showed me respect. I and my family will never forget that," Manjhi said.
Nitish Kumar on Saturday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Mahagathbandhan rally in Bihar's Purnia. He said that "if we come together, we will reduce the BJP to less than 100 seats". Nitjsh Kumar also expressed his doubts about Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) chief Jitan Ram Manjhi switching sides.
