Often seen doing drama, thriller and action films like Dobaara, Haseen Dillruba, Naam Shabana and more, actress Taapsee Pannu is all set to enter the world of comedy. Actress Pink will be seen in upcoming comedies Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan and Dunki.
In the interview, she talked about her experience working in the comedy genre and also shared her thoughts on her upcoming project with Shah Rukh Khan.
Pannu said, “I am doing an offbeat comedy with Woh Ladki Hai Kahaan. This is the first time I've attempted something like this where the joke won't be on me. I will make jokes. However, both parts are very demanding. Getting a joke on you is not an easy task because you have to keep a straight face and act like you don't understand what just happened, which is difficult. Likewise, when you know what's going on, it's also a different kind of challenge. "
She added: “Comedy is very difficult because the timing of your dialogue and reactions is so critical. Comedy is a whole new experience. Usually, comedy films cast actresses to add charm to the story, but this film takes care of that. My character will be doing a comedy with Pratik Gandhi's character. I also enjoyed a lot of comedy in Dunki.''
According to Pannu, acting alongside a superstar like SRK and her wise decisions have taken her to where she is today.
The actress will be next seen in Sudhir Mishra's drama Afwaah. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar alongside Pannu.
Afwaah is produced by Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar under their respective banners Benaras Media Works and T-Series Films. The film is scheduled for release on February 24, 2023.
