Special trains announced for Holi - Check full details

Indian Railways has announced special trains to facilitate travel during the upcoming festival of Holi 2023, which falls on Wednesday, March 8. These special trains will operate from various cities and connect major destinations across the country.

In a statement, Northern Railway said, "For the convenience of railway passengers and to remove the increased rush, the railways have decided to run the following Holi Special trains to various destinations."

The special trains announced by the Indian Railways will help people to travel easily during the festive season of Holi 2023. These trains will provide a convenient mode of transportation to people who want to celebrate the festival with their loved ones in other cities. The special trains also relieve the regular trains, which are often overcrowded during the festival season. Indian Railways will run special trains from Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Jaynagar for Holi from 13/03/2023 to 27/03/2023. Train No. 05562 will depart from m Mumbai every Monday at 1:30 PM and reach Jayanagar at 8:00 AM. Similarly, the return train No. 05561 will leave Jainagar every Saturday at 11:50 PM and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Station at 1:00 PM on the third day.

Indian Railways will also run special trains from Delhi to Bihar during Holi 2023. The train will depart from Delhi on 8 March 2023 and arrive in Bihar on 10 March 2023. The return train will depart from Bihar on 12 March 2023 and arrive in Delhi on 14 March 2023. These special trains will connect major cities in Bihar including Patna, Gaya and Muzaffarpur

Passengers can book tickets for special trains on the official website of Indian Railways or through authorized travel agents. It is advisable to book tickets well in advance to avoid last-minute rush and inconvenience.
