Jammu and Kashmir hit by 5.8 magnitude earthquake, no casualties reported
Kolkata police conducted a raid today based on credible information and apprehended a man named Rajesh Kasera, alias Rajesh Agarwal. The raid took place around 4:40 pm in front of a building located at 119 Park Street in Kolkata. The man was intercepted while driving a Maruti Suzuki car with the registration number WB 96 K 1414.
According to the police report, during the raid, Kasera was found to be in possession of a large sum of money amounting to Rs. 50 lakhs in Indian currency. When asked by the cops to provide relevant documents and a satisfactory explanation regarding the source of the cash, Kasera was unable to do so. Consequently, the police arrested him on the spot.
Kasera, who is 49 years old, resides in Block-G, Ground Floor, 393/1, Naliranjan Avenue, Kol - 53. A case has been registered against him under sections 41 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Park Street police station.
The police have not provided any further details regarding the nature of the raid or the source of their information. However, it is believed that this is a significant development in an ongoing investigation. The police are expected to conduct further inquiries into the matter to determine the origin of the cash and whether it was obtained through any illegal means.
