An earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale hit Bageshwar in Uttarakhand in the early hours of Monday.
The earthquake hit the region at 4:49 a.m. at a depth of 5 km. The coordinates of the epicenter were 30.10 N and 79.86 E.
Tremors were felt in Indore, Madhya Pradesh around 1 pm on Sunday. The magnitude of the earthquake was 3.0. The depth of the earthquake was 10 kilometers. Alos, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake hit the western part of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday afternoon, as per reports. The National Seismological Center said the earthquake was recorded at 12:12 p.m.
Meanwhile, the death toll from the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria has passed 46,000 and is expected to rise, with around 2,64,000 homes destroyed in Turkey and many still missing as rescuers listen for signs of life under the rubble.
