Aniruddha Prasad Sah (78) was found unconscious with his throat slit outside the washroom of Sneh Sparsh Nursing Home under Jiravbari police station in Sahebganj district on Sunday.
Shah, a resident of Barhet Bazar, has been staying in a nursing home since May 1, 2022. On Sunday morning, an elderly lady from the asylum noticed him lying in a pool of blood. He was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment. His condition is critical.
The police started investigation. The cause of the incident is still unclear. Primary investigations suggest that Shah has a strained relationship with his two daughters. One is housed in Calcutta and the other in Baniyapur in Sahebganj district. The reason for the breakdown of the relationship is the division of property, as Shah wants to divide his property into three parts, making his sister one of the three partners.
Police are trying to determine if she was the cause of the incident or something else.
