Authorities on Friday received information about the discovery of a bomb outside the official residence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. However, the information turned out to be false and officials who rushed to the spot said there was no bomb.
Following the scare, security outside the Chief Minister's residence has been beefed up, and a bomb disposal squad has also reached the spot. Places around the CM's residence were searched.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said that information about the bomb had been received at the Delhi Police headquarters and an intensive search was carried out as a precautionary measure. However, nothing was found.
Police said an informant called the control room about a bomb outside UP CM Yogi Adityanath's residence. Responding to the call, a team reached the spot and conducted a search. The police are now investigating the case and trying to find the person who called the fake bomb.
