During the debate on the Governor's address in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, there was a lot of uproar in the Assembly on Monday. Shubhendu Adhikari attacked the state government regarding the law and order situation in the state and alleged that the Governor read the speech given by the state government and this speech is completely full of mistakes. Shubhendu Adhikari also questioned the facilities being given to the bureaucrats.
There was a debate between the speaker and Shubhendu Adhikari regarding this. Later, the BJP MLAs staged a walkout from the proceedings.
A privilege motion will automatically be brought against Shubhendu Adhikari from the Bidhansabha. At the same time, Shubhendu announced to bring a no-confidence motion against the speaker. Talking to reporters later, Shubhendu Adhikari said that the Speaker is working as per the instructions of the Chief Minister. He also claimed that the Governor's speech is the written speech of the Chief Minister.
Shubhendu Adhikari said that the condition of the state is also bad. He said that the assembly consists of the opposition parties, but the leaders of the opposition parties are not given the opportunity to speak. He also said that the party will file a no-confidence motion on February 16.
