Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
At least four people were killed and 10 others injured after a balloon vendor's helium cylinder exploded at a fair in West Bengal. The incident happened in Jaynagar of South 24 Parganas on Sunday night.
The fair was held at Batra village under Rajapur-Karabeg village panchayat of Jayanagar in South 24 Parganas. Shops were lined up and a large crowd of people gathered at the fair.
At 9:30 pm, a gas cylinder stored in Muchiram Halder's shop exploded, killing four people on the spot. At least ten bystanders were seriously injured. The deceased were identified as Qutubuddin Mistry (36), Shaheen Molla (14), Abir Ghazi and gas balloon seller Muchiram Halder.
After the incident, the police arrived at the scene and took the injured person to a local hospital for treatment. The injured were later taken to a hospital in Kolkata.
