An Uttar Pradesh road bus ran over at least seven laborers in Gautam Buddha Nagar district late on Wednesday, killing four of them and injuring three others.
The deceased have been identified as 25-year-old Sankeshwar Kumar, 22-year-old Mohri Kumar, 25-year-old Satish Kumar and 34-year-old Gopal.
“Employees of Hero Motors Company, located in Badalpur police station area, went on night shifts. They were hit by a bus from Noida Depot and due to these three people died on the spot and later one more person died in the hospital,” said ADCP (Central Noida) Vishal Pandey.
"The police secured the vehicle, further legal steps are underway," he added.
The three injured men – Anuj, Dharamveer and Sandeep – were initially admitted to the district hospital by the Badalpur police. They were later referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.
