Lucknow At the age of 55, when most people start planning for life after retirement, IPS Sanjay Tarade, DG Training Lucknow, has been busy acquiring knowledge. He completed Masters course (Cyber Security) from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow and topped. He will receive the title from President Droupadi Murma at the BBAU assembly on February 13.
"It's extremely satisfying to get another graduate degree at 55. The icing on the cake was getting top marks in the exam," Tarade said. He was enrolled in the course in 2019 and completed it in 2021. “Since the university convocation was not held in 2021, I will get my degree this year,” he said.
A 1990 batch IPS officer, Tarade said, “Since I am posted as a DG training officer, it is imperative that I have knowledge about cyber crime as many of our officers posted in remote areas may not have detailed knowledge on how to handle complaints related to to cybercrime. A two-year postgraduate course will come in handy.'
“I was lucky enough to be enrolled in the course in 2019 and completed it during the Covid times. I took most of my courses online. Therefore, I have been able to maintain a good balance between my academic and professional commitments,” he said.
Tarade completed B Tech in Engineering from IIT Delhi, MBA from Pune University, PhD in Management from IIT Delhi and PG Diploma in Cyber Laws from Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow.
