Mamata calls urgent meeting at Nabanna tomorrow, key administrative officials to attend
Karan Aujla’s “It was all a Dream” tour hit all the wrong notes at the Kolkata concert! Okay, picture this: you’re hyped to see Karan Aujla live, ready to scream “Husn Tera Tauba Tauba,” this year’s anthem with your squad. But instead of a night of unforgettable beats, you end up in a never ending wait for when your favourite artist will take the stage. The vibes of this chaotic concert quickly went from “52 Bars” to “Error 404.”
First things first, the venue was not an appropriate choice for a concert of such scale. It was closed off, hot, stuffy, with no room to breathe. The whole setup felt like they forgot Karan Aujla is a global artist. The sound quality? Let’s just say we were squinting with our ears trying to figure out if he was singing “White, Brown, Black” or “Take It Easy.” Spoiler alert: neither felt true.
Management woes added to the frustration. Frequent power outages meant rendering online payment options were a no-go leaving fans scrambling for cash to purchase essentials like water. And when the power did work, the network didn’t. No Insta posts, no Snap stories—just us staring at our screens.
The allowance of smoking within the closed venue further compounded the discomfort. The confined space quickly filled with smoke, making it challenging for attendees to breathe, let alone enjoy the music. By the end of the evening, many fans were visibly uncomfortable, their experience marred by the oppressive atmosphere. Fans started leaving the venue early and the concert went from full capacity to almost half before Aujla could even sing his chartbuster hit “Softly."
While Karan Aujla’s talent as an artist remains undeniable, the event’s poor planning and execution detracted significantly from the overall experience. Long story short, this concert was not the “Way Ahead” we were hoping for. Between the poor sound, the power cuts, and the claustrophobic vibes, it felt like a live-action blooper reel. Karan Aujla deserves better, and so do we. . Fans deserved a well-organized event that matched the energy and excitement of Aujla’s music, but this concert failed to deliver on all fronts.
