Farhad Khan, a lawyer at Bankshal Court, was arrested by Narendrapur police on charges of cheating and blackmailing a television serial actress. The actress had met Khan about a year ago when she was facing legal issues and sought his assistance. Khan, who works as a clerk at Bankshal Court, introduced himself as a lawyer and gradually formed a personal relationship with the actress. Their relationship developed into an intimate one, with the two engaging in physical relations multiple times, as confirmed by police sources.
Khan allegedly borrowed a sum of nearly 12 lakh rupees from the actress, citing personal financial problems. He reportedly used the borrowed money for personal purposes. According to the police, Khan’s actions escalated when he began blackmailing the actress, threatening to expose their intimate relations unless she met further demands. In addition to the financial exploitation, Khan was also found to have used the actress's car multiple times, which she had not consented to.
The actress eventually became aware of the situation and filed a complaint with the Narendrapur police, accusing Khan of fraud, blackmail, and sexual exploitation. Based on her complaint, Khan was arrested and charged with the aforementioned offenses. Police have initiated a thorough investigation to determine the full extent of Khan’s actions and are exploring the possibility that he may have victimized others as well. Authorities are continuing their probe into any additional charges and evidence related to the case.
