Man found dead near Dhapa, police suspect gunshots involved

In a shocking incident early this morning, the body of an unidentified person was discovered in the Sahib Abad area adjacent to Dhapa under the Pragati Maidan Police Station's jurisdiction. Locals stumbled upon the body lying in the farmland and promptly informed the authorities.  

According to the police, initial reports suggest gunshots may have been involved in the incident, although no sound of gunfire was reported in the vicinity. The victim was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he was declared dead upon arrival.  

An investigation has been launched, and forensic teams have been deployed to the site to collect evidence. The police are working to identify the deceased and are questioning locals to gather more information about the events leading to the discovery of the body.  

The investigating officer has stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report is received. “We are looking into all possibilities, including foul play. The autopsy will shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the death,” said an officer involved in the case.  

Residents of the area are in shock, with many expressing concerns about safety. Authorities have assured them that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure justice is served.
