A tragic accident occurred early this morning on the Maa Flyover, claiming the lives of two individuals. The incident took place around 6:30 AM when a motorcycle, traveling from Chingrighata towards Park Circus, collided with a guardrail and plunged off the flyover near Parmar Island.
Both the rider and the pillion rider were severely injured and were rushed to SSKM Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. While the rider was wearing a helmet, the pillion rider was not.
Initial investigations suggest that excessive speed was the primary cause of the accident. The Progati Maidan police station is handling the case and further investigations are underway.
