A tragic road accident occurred on Thursday evening at around 7:30 pm when a pedestrian was fatally hit by a speeding private bus. The incident took place at Mahatma Gandhi Road More in Kolkata, where a bus traveling from Howrah to Madhyamgram crushed the individual under its wheels.
Eyewitnesses reported that the bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving behind the vehicle. The police quickly arrived at the spot, seized the bus, and transported it to the nearest police station for further investigation. Efforts are underway to identify the driver who abandoned the vehicle.
