IIT Kharagpur surpasses 1,000 job offers in just 3 days of 2024-25 placements

IIT Kharagpur has successfully crossed the 1,000-job offer mark in the first three days of its 2024-25 placement process. The initial two days saw over 800 offers, including pre-placement offers (PPOs), and by December 3, the total offers exceeded 1,000. The placement season began with a strong influx of opportunities across various sectors, reflecting the demand for IIT Kharagpur students.

Companies from a broad range of industries, including high-frequency trading, software, analytics, finance, banking, and consulting, have extended job offers to students. These sectors have been actively recruiting students from IIT Kharagpur, with roles spanning multiple job functions. The involvement of major players from these diverse fields highlights the institute's strong industry connections and the broad appeal of its graduates.

Core engineering companies have also participated in the early stages of this year’s placement drive, which has been a notable trend compared to previous years. This includes companies directly aligned with engineering disciplines, offering specialized roles for students pursuing core engineering careers.

International opportunities have also been a significant part of the placements this year. As of now, 20 international job offers have been secured by students, signaling a strong interest from global firms. The placement process is expected to continue over the coming weeks, with more companies across various sectors scheduled to recruit students.
