Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
A woman from Pataygachi, a village in East Burdwan's Baghanapara area, is urgently searching for her missing husband, Subhas Ghosh, with their three-year-old daughter. Subhas, a 45-year-old truck driver from Kalna's Suryapur area, was last seen on November 24, when he left home for work. He had mentioned to his wife that he was heading to the Khayaghata area for his usual work, but after that, he has not been heard from, and his phone has remained switched off.
Pinky Ghosh, his wife, last spoke to him on the evening of November 24, when Subhas called her, informing her that he was "stuck" and needed assistance. The call abruptly ended, and efforts to reach him thereafter were unsuccessful. The following day, November 25, Pinky filed a missing person report at the Kalna police station, but she has expressed dissatisfaction with the police response and the lack of progress in finding her husband.
In the absence of any substantial updates from the police, Pinky has taken to searching for Subhas on her own, walking through Kalna’s streets with her daughter, showing his photograph to residents and passersby. She has been visiting local areas, asking if anyone has seen him or has any information about his whereabouts. Despite her persistent efforts, there have been no new developments or clues about his location. Pinky also mentioned receiving a second phone call, though the voice on the other end was unclear, and she could not understand the conversation.
Subhas, who had been living with his wife and daughter in a rented house in Pataygachi, is described as a hardworking truck driver. Pinky stated that on the day of his disappearance, he had told her he would be back home soon, but he never returned. Pinky continues to hope that someone will come forward with information that could lead to finding her husband. Meanwhile, Kalna police have not released any further information regarding the investigation or any potential leads.
