4 children dead, 6 injured in head-on collision between auto and truck in Bihar’s Bihta

A devastating road accident in Bihta, Bihar, resulted in the deaths of four children and injuries to six others when a school auto collided head-on with a truck. The incident occurred near Bishanpura Baghicha at around 8:30 AM, when the auto, which was carrying 10-12 schoolchildren, was traveling from Bihta to Kanhauli. The truck, traveling in the opposite direction, collided with the auto at high speed, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

The four children who died on the spot were reportedly trapped inside the wrecked auto. Local authorities confirmed that they died due to the impact of the collision. "Four children have died in the road accident near Bishanpura village, while several others are injured. One auto driver is also injured," stated Rajkumar Pandey, Station Head Officer of Bihta. The six injured children, along with the auto driver, were quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where their condition remains critical. As of now, the names and ages of the victims have not been disclosed, and the hospital has not provided any updates on their medical status.

The truck driver fled the scene following the accident, but authorities are actively working to track him down. The police have seized the truck and are conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of the collision.
