Jammu and Kashmir hit by 5.8 magnitude earthquake, no casualties reported
Sheikh Samir, a 12-year-old seventh-grade student from Rajarhat's Raigachi Munshi Para, has been missing since the morning of November 18. According to his family, Samir left his home around 9 AM that day to purchase tiffin for school. However, he did not return after the usual time, prompting his family to begin searching for him in the local area. Despite their efforts, no trace of Samir was found.
The family contacted local shopkeepers, who confirmed that they had not seen Samir that morning. After the hours passed without any sign of the boy, the family became increasingly worried and filed a missing person report at the Rajarhat police station. According to the family, they felt the response from the police was not immediate or adequate, and they expressed concerns over the lack of progress in the case.
On November 20, a breakthrough occurred when a local resident was detained by community members. They suspected the individual of being involved in the boy’s disappearance and handed him over to the police. The police have since begun questioning the man to determine whether he has any connection to Samir’s disappearance. Rajarhat police have confirmed that they are investigating the suspect and looking into all possible leads.
The police investigation is ongoing, with authorities focusing on uncovering details about Samir’s last known whereabouts and any potential connections to the detained individual. They have also requested the public’s help in providing any information that could assist in locating the missing boy. As of now, there have been no updates on Samir’s location, and his family remains in distress as they await further developments.
