Youth dies after alleged beating at South Garia drug rehab, family vandalizes centre in protest
The ongoing construction work of the Chandmari Road Over Bridge, located near Howrah station in West Bengal, has led to changes in the departure points of several local trains, including the Bandel-Howrah EMU. From November 19 to December 24, passengers traveling on the 37212 Bandel-Howrah EMU will need to board the train from Bali station instead of Howrah station.
This change is due to the installation of main girders for the new bridge, which will affect the usual station operations. The 37212 Bandel-Howrah EMU local, originally scheduled to depart from Howrah, will now depart from Bali station at 3:45 AM. Correspondingly, the return train, 37211 Howrah-Bandel EMU local, will depart from Bali station at 5:02 AM.
In addition to the Bandel-Howrah EMU, two other trains are being impacted by the ongoing construction. The 13030 Mokama-Howrah Express, which is usually a regular service, will experience a delay of 75 minutes during this period. Similarly, the 13024 Azimganj-Howrah Passenger Special will face a delay of 35 minutes.
The temporary modifications in train schedules are a direct result of the necessary construction work at the Chandmari Road Over Bridge, which aims to enhance connectivity and ease congestion near the busy Howrah station.
Passengers are advised to take note of the updated train departure times and locations to avoid any confusion during their journeys. With Bali station now serving as the new departure point for the Bandel-Howrah EMU and others, commuters will need to plan accordingly for their early morning travel.
The West Bengal Railway Authority has also assured that the situation will be closely monitored, and alternative arrangements will be made for passengers during this period.
