A dead body was found on Friday morning in Kolkata’s Maidan area, prompting a police investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery. The body, identified as that of an adult male, was discovered on the footpath along Dufferin Road around 8:30 a.m. Passersby alerted local authorities, who promptly arrived to assess the situation.
Upon arriving, Kolkata Police secured the area and began collecting preliminary evidence. The body was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for an autopsy to determine the cause and time of death. Authorities treat the case cautiously as the man's identity remains unknown, and no personal identification documents were found on him.
