Amit Shah accuses JMM-led govt of using infiltrators as vote banks in Jharkhand

Union Home Minister Amit Shah took aim at the ruling JMM-Congress coalition in Jharkhand on Thursday, alleging that the alliance has converted illegal immigrants into “vote banks.” Speaking at an election rally in Giridih, Shah vowed to eradicate both infiltration and Naxalism if the BJP comes to power in the state.

“We will wipe out Naxalism and infiltration from Jharkhand,” Shah asserted, promising that “every infiltrator will be deported.” He also outlined plans to investigate corruption in the JMM-Congress alliance, pledging to establish a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged financial irregularities. “If the BJP is voted to power, we will set up an SIT to probe the corruption of JMM-Congress leaders, and they will be put behind bars,” he stated. “Every paisa looted by them will be returned to the state treasury.”

Shah further targeted Congress, mocking Sonia Gandhi’s attempts to establish Rahul Gandhi in national politics. He remarked, “Sonia-ji is fond of launching her son. She tried to launch the ‘Rahul plane’ 20 times, but it failed to land. It crashed 20 times. It will crash again at Deoghar airport.”

In addition, Shah took a firm stance on the Waqf Board, accusing it of encroaching on temple lands and farmlands in Karnataka. He announced plans to amend the Waqf Board Act, despite anticipated opposition from Congress and the JMM-led coalition, and promised to halt any land-grabbing practices.

Shah highlighted Jharkhand’s mineral wealth as a catalyst for economic prosperity, promising to establish mineral-based industries and create employment opportunities within the state. “We will make Jharkhand the most prosperous state in India,” he said, adding that these initiatives would curb migration by creating jobs locally.
