An acid attack in the Patial area under Jagatballabhpur police station in Howrah district has left a local goldsmith seriously injured. Sanjay Kol was working inside his house when an unknown assailant threw acid at him through a window before fleeing the scene. Witnesses reported seeing the attackers arrive on a motorbike, and police suspect premeditation in the crime.
Sanjay Kol, who suffered severe injuries, was first rushed to Jagatballabhpur Rural Hospital before being transferred to Kolkata Medical College Hospital as his condition worsened. Law enforcement officials from Jagatballabhpur police station arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.
