Tension arose in the Dhulapara area of Bishnupur, Bankura, following the death of 55-year-old factory worker Rajnish Chauhan, whose body was discovered outside his rented home on the morning of November 4. The landlord found him lying on the porch in an unusual position and immediately alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers confirmed his death and initiated procedures for an unnatural death investigation.
Rajnish Chauhan was a resident of Mohammadpur in Uttar Pradesh and had been employed as an electrician at a private steel factory located in the Darika industrial zone, which is known for housing several manufacturing units. Reports indicate that he completed his work shift the previous evening and returned home around 8 PM. After having dinner, he seemed to be in good spirits, and there were no apparent signs of distress noted by his landlord or neighbors.
Following the discovery of Rajnish’s body, the police registered an unnatural death case and launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death. Investigators are interviewing the landlord and nearby residents to gather information regarding Rajnish's health history, including any medical conditions or recent illnesses he may have experienced. The police are also reviewing any relevant security camera footage from the area to track Rajnish's movements before his death.
To determine the exact cause of death, Rajnish Chauhan’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination at a local hospital. Initial reports indicate that he had experienced a fever several days prior to his death, which may or may not be related to the incident. The police have stated that they will await the autopsy results before making any further conclusions.
