A robbery incident unfolded in Amethi on Sunday morning, resulting in the assault of a young man by three masked assailants. The victim, Shashank Yadav, known by his nickname Vakeel, is a resident of Bhualapur Bhavsinhpur village, located in the Sangrampur area of Amethi district. Shashank is employed at a shopping mall in the nearby town and was commuting to work when he became the target of the crime.
According to preliminary reports, Shashank was riding his Splendor Plus motorcycle when he approached a brick kiln situated near Jarauta village. It was at this location that three individuals on another motorcycle approached him from behind. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the suspects struck Shashank on the head, causing him to lose balance and fall to the ground. After incapacitating him, the assailants proceeded to steal his mobile phone from his pocket and made off with his motorcycle, which was identified as a blue Splendor Plus.
In response to the incident, the Sangrampur police were notified and quickly arrived at the scene. Officers conducted an initial investigation, gathering evidence and interviewing Shashank and potential witnesses. Additional Superintendent of Police Harendra Kumar confirmed that law enforcement is exploring all avenues of investigation, including reviewing nearby surveillance footage and looking for any identifiable features of the suspects. The police are also reaching out to local residents for any information that could assist in the investigation.
