Trump condemns violence against minorities in Bangladesh, appeals to Hindu voters before U.S. elections

Just five days before the U.S. presidential election, former President and Republican candidate Donald Trump has made significant remarks to win over Hindu voters. In a post on social media platform 'X', he condemned the "barbaric violence" against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities in Bangladesh, describing the situation there as one of "total chaos." He criticized current leaders Kamala Harris and Joe Biden for neglecting Hindu issues both in America and abroad, claiming that such violence would never have occurred during his presidency.

Trump emphasized his commitment to protecting Hindu rights worldwide, particularly in light of recent violence in Bangladesh, which he called a "disaster." His comments come after significant unrest in Bangladesh that led to violent incidents against Hindu communities. By highlighting this issue, Trump seeks to solidify his support among Hindu Americans, who he believes have been overlooked by the current administration.

In his Diwali message, Trump expressed gratitude towards the Hindu community and promised to strengthen partnerships with India, particularly with Prime Minister Modi. His statements resonate with many Hindu Americans who feel marginalized in the current political climate. "I think Trump really, really cares about these communities," said Sanduja from HinduAction, expressing appreciation for Trump’s attention to their concerns.

In related news, 61 million Americans have already cast their votes for the upcoming election, with early voting trends indicating a competitive race between Trump and Harris. Notably, in key states like Georgia and North Carolina, Harris appears to be leading among Black voters and college-educated constituents, which may influence the election's outcome.
