Youth dies after alleged beating at South Garia drug rehab, family vandalizes centre in protest
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a significant step towards employment generation by virtually distributing over 51,000 appointment letters under the Rozgar Mela initiative. In a virtual address, Modi congratulated the new recruits and highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering opportunities for India’s youth. This distribution is part of a broader effort to create meaningful employment opportunities, empowering young people to actively contribute to the nation’s development.
The Rozgar Mela, which emphasizes the government’s focus on job creation, is set to take place in 40 locations nationwide. New appointees will be joining various Central Government Ministries and Departments, including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others. The event stands as a testament to the government’s focus on economic empowerment and youth engagement in the workforce.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that the Rozgar Mela will bolster the nation's workforce, providing young citizens with avenues for growth and the chance to participate actively in nation-building. Through this scheme, Modi envisions a pathway for India’s youth to develop valuable skills and apply them in government roles that directly impact citizens.
To support the new recruits in their roles, the government has introduced a foundational training program called ‘Karmayogi Prarambh.’ This program, available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, features over 1,400 e-learning courses, which will help new employees gain essential skills for effective public service. With this training, new employees will be better equipped to fulfill their duties and contribute towards the goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India).
The initiative reflects the government’s holistic approach to employment, where job creation is supplemented with skill-building. Karmayogi Prarambh is a key feature in this mission, allowing the new workforce to engage in continuous learning and apply relevant skills in their service to the country.
With the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters, Rozgar Mela stands as a powerful symbol of the government’s dedication to fostering an inclusive, skill-driven workforce. Through this initiative, India moves closer to fulfilling its vision of self-reliance and sustained economic growth, backed by an empowered and skilled workforce.
