Jogbani police arrested a suspected smuggler, Ramlal Yadav, this morning in Tikulia Basti with a large quantity of narcotic drugs. Acting on a tip-off, officers on patrol tracked Yadav, who was allegedly transporting a stash of pills in a container and plastic bag from Khajurbari to Tikulia Basti.
Upon intercepting Yadav in Tikulia Basti, police searched his possessions and found a substantial quantity of illegal narcotic pills. These included 2,160 Spasmo-Proxyvon capsules, 1,440 Proxy Space capsules, and 888 Spasmo capsules, a considerable haul indicating potential distribution intentions.
Ramlal Yadav, a resident of Ward No. 03 in Tikulia Basti, was promptly detained and taken to the local police station for further questioning. The seized narcotics were documented, and evidence was collected to support the case. Police officials emphasize the growing need for vigilance to prevent the distribution of illegal substances in the area.
According to the Station House Officer (SHO), the detained individual will undergo further interrogation to uncover possible links to a wider distribution network. After the investigation, the accused will be transferred to judicial custody in Araria, where legal proceedings will begin.
