Woman struck and killed by train while crossing tracks in Bengal's Naxalbari

On Friday, Amina Khatun, a 30-year-old resident of Bagdogra, tragically lost her life after being struck by the New Jalpaiguri-Kamakhyaguri Capital Express train in the Khalpara area of Naxalbari. The incident occurred around 3 PM when Amina was reportedly crossing the tracks, unaware of the approaching train. Eyewitnesses described the scene, noting that the train was traveling at high speed and that there was no time for her to react once she realized the danger.

Following the collision, railway police were alerted and arrived on the scene within minutes.
