Speeding lorry knocks down traffic police booth at Eco Park, driver absconding

A speeding lorry collided with a traffic booth near Eco Park. The lorry, traveling at high speed from Ashansha More, broke a traffic signal in front of Eco Park before losing control and crashing into the unmanned traffic booth. Police from the Eco Park police station have impounded the lorry, but the driver is currently absconding.

Witnesses reported that as the lorry from Ashansha More sped through the signal, another lorry was approaching from Kadam Pond towards Biswa Bangla Sarani. The recklessly driven vehicle attempted to swerve lost control, and ended up smashing into the traffic booth.

Fortunately, there were no police officers present in the booth at the time, which helped avoid what could have been a serious accident.

The Eco Park police responded swiftly by securing the vehicle and initiating a search for the driver, who fled the scene immediately after the collision. Authorities are examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the driver and assess the exact sequence of events leading up to the crash.
