Youth dies after alleged beating at South Garia drug rehab, family vandalizes centre in protest
Union Minister Giriraj Singh’s 'Hindu Swabhiman Yatra' reached Araria in Seemanchal on Monday, generating considerable excitement and participation from the local community. This initiative aims to awaken and unite Hindus, and the event saw a large turnout, including Singh, Swami Deepankar, Araria MP, Forbesganj MLA, and hundreds of enthusiastic supporters.
Singh commenced the day by offering prayers at the revered Maa Khadgeshwari Mahakali Temple. His visit to the temple symbolizes the spiritual backbone of the yatra, reinforcing the message of Hindu identity and faith. Accompanied by Swami Deepankar, Singh emphasized the cultural significance of such religious gatherings.
Following the temple visit, a grand procession was held through the streets of Araria. Participants included a diverse group of men, women, and children, all rallying to show their support for the yatra. The procession featured traditional music and banners, creating an atmosphere of celebration and solidarity among the Hindu community.
During his address, Singh made it clear that the yatra is not an anti-opposition initiative but rather a call to awaken Hindus. He stated, "This journey is not about opposition; it’s about bringing Hindus together." Singh stressed the importance of unity among Hindus in today’s socio-political landscape, urging attendees to set aside differences and focus on collective identity.
Singh addressed recent criticisms from MP Pappu Yadav, who has questioned the intentions behind the yatra. Without naming Yadav, Singh alluded to his comments by saying, “People are saying that they will have to cross over my dead body.” He countered this by asserting, “I am not on a dead body but walking for the living Hindus.”
