Knife attack during RSS event in Jaipur leaves 8 injured

An RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) event in the Karni Vihar area of Jaipur was violently disrupted on Thursday night when a group of unidentified individuals attacked the gathering with sharp-edged weapons. The incident occurred during a Sharad Purnima event, where kheer was being distributed, leaving several attendees injured.

DCP (West) Amit Kumar confirmed that seven to eight people were wounded in the attack and were immediately rushed to SMS Hospital for treatment. He further mentioned that some suspects have been detained for questioning as the police work to piece together what led to the assault.

According to Senior BJP Leader and Former MLA Arun Chaturvedi, the attack unfolded when RSS volunteers were engaged in distributing kheer to the participants. Armed with knives and other weapons, the attackers stormed the gathering and began assaulting the people present.

“The injured are receiving medical care, and necessary tests are being conducted to evaluate the extent of their injuries,” said Chaturvedi. He also emphasized the need for swift action to bring the attackers to justice.

Cabinet Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who visited SMS Hospital to meet the injured, assured the public that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the attack. He expressed his concern over the escalating violence and the need for law enforcement to ensure public safety.
