Man found dead under construction site in Kolkata's Haridevpur; police investigating murder claims

A bloodied body was discovered beneath a construction site in Green Park, Haridevpur, leading to shock and concern in the community. The deceased has been identified as Kalu De, a 45-year-old local resident. Witnesses reported seeing him lying unresponsive, prompting immediate notification to the Haridevpur police. Officers arrived promptly and transported Kalu to Tollygunge M.R. Bangur Hospital, where he was declared dead by attending doctors.

According to family members, Kalu was known to socialize with some local youths and often engaged in substance abuse.
