Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Two individuals were arrested in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in connection with an extortion case involving Rs. 3.18 crore. This comes to light after, the suspects, Parsotam Bhai H Ajuia (56) and Tushar Girdhar Bhai Ghetiya (31), allegedly extorted a Kolkata resident by posing as officials from the Mumbai Police and other government authorities.
The victim was threatened with arrest on fabricated charges and coerced into transferring Rs. 50 lakh to an RBL Bank account in Jamnagar. During the investigation, police tracked the money trail using IP logs, linked emails, and mobile numbers. This led to the identification of the suspects controlling the bank account.
On September 29, 2025, the City C Division police in Jamnagar conducted a raid, leading to the arrest of the accused. Mobile phones connected to the fraudulent account were seized as part of the operation.
Both Parsotam Bhai Ajuia and Tushar Ghetiya are currently in custody, and police have sought transit custody to continue their investigation. The officers have moved the court of Ld. CJM, Jamnagar, with a formal request to further their probe.
