A 56-year-old tourist from West Bengal drowned in the Liddar River in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir while he was taking photographs. Unfortunately, the tourist died in this accident.
Officials said that the tourist was taking pictures of Betab Ghati late on Thursday night when his foot suddenly slipped and he drowned in the Liddar River.
As per reports, the tourist was pulled out of the river shortly after and was rushed to the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Pahalgam, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased has been identified as Devbrata Ghosh (56). Meanwhile, the police have started an investigation.
