Speeding bus mows down pedestrian at MG Road more, driver flee
Authorities foiled an alleged smuggling bid in West Bengal's Kharagpur. According to the reports, a surprise inspection was carried out in the Bhubaneswar-Howrah Jan Shatabdi Express at Kharagpur station.
During the search, two individuals were apprehended. Authorities recovered ₹2.5 lakh in Indian currency, silver utensils, and gold biscuits weighing over 100 grams from their possession.
The individuals failed to provide valid documents for the valuables, raising suspicions that the items might be stolen or robbed. Interrogations are currently underway to determine the origin of the goods.
