Thailand announces e-visa for Indians from Jan 1, 60-day exemption to continue
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has accused the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government of jeopardizing his safety by withdrawing all security vehicles assigned to him. Soren, formerly a key leader in the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), labeled the move a political conspiracy aimed at putting his life at risk. He expressed confidence, however, that the people of Jharkhand would stand by him and ensure his protection.
"The Jharkhand government withdrew all security vehicles assigned to me, putting my life at risk, under a political conspiracy. I am not afraid of this move. The people of Jharkhand would provide security to me," Champai Soren stated on Wednesday, adding that he had no fears despite the withdrawal of his official protection.
Soren also pushed back against allegations made by Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who claimed that the BJP was "buying" political leaders in Jharkhand. Champai Soren strongly denied the accusation, asserting that no one could "buy" him and that his departure from the JMM was due to feelings of humiliation and disrespect within the party. He reiterated that his decision to join the BJP was based on principles and values, not financial incentives.
With the Jharkhand assembly elections approaching, Champai Soren emphasized that the people would deliver a decisive response to the JMM-led coalition, highlighting what he described as failures in leadership and governance.
