5 minors allegedly sexually abused at Haridevpur hostel by warden's husband

A shocking incident has come to light at a school and hostel in Haridevpur, where five minor students were allegedly sexually assaulted. The accusations are directed at the female warden and her husband, who had been staying at the hostel without the authorities’ knowledge. The hostel staff consists entirely of women, but the warden’s husband had occasionally been staying there since her recent marriage. This irregularity was not reported to the proper authorities, raising further concerns about the hostel’s management.

It is alleged that the warden’s husband first sexually assaulted a student, and in the days that followed, more students were targeted. The situation came to light last Sunday when parents visited their children, as they do every week. During this meeting, the students confided in their parents, detailing the incidents of abuse. The revelation caused widespread outrage among the parents, leading to a large crowd gathering in front of the hostel that evening to take their children home.

Following the parents’ complaints, a formal report was filed at the Haridevpur police station. The police responded swiftly, arresting the female warden, her husband, and another individual. The police have also begun questioning two more students, in addition to the four complainant students, as part of their investigation. A medical examination of the students is being arranged to corroborate the allegations of abuse.

So far, the hostel authorities have remained silent on the issue, offering no statement or explanation for the serious accusations. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected as police continue to interrogate those involved and gather evidence from the hostel premises.

The husband has been identified as Supravat Dolui, the warden is Supriya Singh. One private English teacher namely Biswanath Sil and one Sovon Mondal attached to the organization also molested the female children.
