Speaking at the 'Janta Ki Adalat' event at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of conspiring to tarnish his and AAP leader Manish Sisodia’s reputation by branding them corrupt. Kejriwal emphasized that he has governed Delhi with honesty for the past 10 years and alleged that Modi saw dishonesty as the only way to defeat him. This follows the recent Supreme Court granting Kejriwal bail on September 13 in the Delhi liquor policy case, where Sisodia was also implicated.
Kejriwal claimed his resignation was motivated by a desire to change the nation’s politics rather than cling to power. He stated that despite his role as Chief Minister for a decade, he still doesn't own a house in Delhi.
Kejriwal responded to corruption accusations by listing AAP’s achievements, including free electricity, water, and bus rides for women, and questioned whether dishonest politicians could deliver such services. He accused the BJP of conspiring against him and posed the question to the audience—who was truly corrupt: him or those who tried to imprison him?
In his speech, Kejriwal also criticized RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and questioned whether the BJP would adhere to its own rule that leaders retire at 75, as Modi approaches that age. Kejriwal emphasized that he had only "earned love" in his 10 years of service, with people offering him their homes as he plans to leave the Chief Minister’s residence soon.
