A 40-year-old woman from Bengaluru has filed a rape complaint against BJP MLA Muniratna Naidu, accusing him of sexually assaulting her over two years, starting in 2020.
The woman has also alleged that Naidu’s six associates, including his gunman, helped him blackmail and threaten her using obscene videos that Naidu himself recorded. Furthermore, she claimed that Naidu coerced her into honey-trapping another man, the husband of a former corporator.
The FIR has been lodged at Kaggalipura police station in Ramanagara district. This is one of several legal challenges Naidu is currently facing. Last week, two additional cases were registered against him at Vyalikaval police station.
An ex-corporator filed an atrocity case, while a BBMP contractor accused Naidu of demanding a ₹30 lakh bribe and cheating him out of ₹20 lakh in a scam involving the arrangement of auto-rickshaws for garbage disposal.
Naidu, who has already been arrested in connection with the atrocity case, is currently in judicial custody at Bengaluru Central Prison.
