Jammu and Kashmir hit by 5.8 magnitude earthquake, no casualties reported
Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan, also known as Lalan Singh, took another jab at RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday. Responding to Tejashwi's remarks that Nitish Kumar joins him after "worshipping his feet," Lalan Singh dismissed the claim, mocking Tejashwi’s recent tour across Bihar. He recalled that Tejashwi also toured the state during the Lok Sabha elections, saying, “He was eating fish in a helicopter while touring constituencies. Now he’s on another tour, but he will end up with zero.”
Lalan Singh ridiculed Tejashwi's political ambitions, likening them to "Mungeri Lal Ke Haseen Sapne" (Mungeri Lal's Beautiful Dreams), implying that they will never be realized. He firmly reiterated Nitish Kumar's pivotal role in Bihar politics, stating that such comments wouldn’t change the dynamics.
Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has recently launched his 'Aabhar Yatra' from Samastipur, aiming to cover Mithilaanchal in the first phase. The political atmosphere has heated up since his statement that Nitish Kumar’s leadership would benefit the opposition alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. Lalan Singh, however, dismissed this idea, emphasizing that power in Bihar was not in Tejashwi's fate.
Bihar Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh responded to Lalan Singh's remarks, accusing him of engaging in his style of politics, adding fuel to the ongoing political discourse.
