SC halts mosque survey orders, restricts lower courts in pending cases
A passenger train was halted between the Buxar-Patna rail section in Bihar on Sunday when its coupling broke, splitting the train into two parts. The incident occurred at around 11:08 am when the New Delhi-Islampur Magadh Superfast Express was running between Turiganj and Raghunathpur railway stations in Buxar district. Thankfully, no passengers were injured in the incident.
The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway, Sharswati Chandra, confirmed the event, stating that the coupling of the Magadh Express (20802) broke, causing the train to split. Rescue and technical teams were immediately dispatched to the site to address the issue.
An official inquiry will be conducted to determine the exact cause of the coupling failure. Efforts are underway to rectify the problem as soon as possible and restore the train service.
