India's dominance at the Paris Paralympics 2024 continued with a remarkable double podium finish in the men's club throw event. Dharambir Nain clinched the gold with a record-breaking throw of 34.93 meters, while Pranav Soorma secured the silver with a throw of 34.59 meters.
This victory marks India’s first gold-silver double in para-athletics at the Paralympics and the country's first-ever gold in the club throw event.
Dharambir and Pranav led the competition from the start, ensuring India added two more medals to its tally, which now includes five golds. However, Amit Saroha had an unfortunate performance, finishing last in the event.
